Despite initial doubts from fans, Demon Slayer has had a remarkable season with plenty of screen time given to the Hashiras and their backstories being explored. However, the overall tone of this season was less serious compared to previous seasons, as it did not have a prominent antagonist.
Despite that, the most recent episode of the series has reintroduced Kibutsuji Muzan, who is now even more terrifying than before. As he slowly approached the dying Kagaya Ubuyashiki, viewers couldn’t help but feel chills down their spines.
The Demon Slayer Corps leader will soon face the imminent threat of the Demon King. The Hashiras will experience intense suffering as the Corps’ headquarters is breached by the first-ever demon.

Demon Slayer: Concerns Arise Among Hashiras as Muzan’s Return Looms
For a significant period, Muzan and his demon army remained hidden. Eventually, Muzan achieved his ultimate objective of witnessing Nezuko, a fellow demon, withstand the sun’s rays. This was crucial as it would grant him eternal life. The demons residing in the Infinity Castle refrained from attacking humans for a time, as their leader, the Demon King, was focused on strategizing and obtaining Nezuko Kamado.
In the most recent episode, viewers witnessed Sanemi Shinazugawa, also known as the Wind Hashira, forcefully destroying an eyeball that bore the symbol of the Upper Moon rank. This revealed the previously hidden location of the Corps’ headquarters, causing widespread worry and fear. The audience’s fears were confirmed as they watched Kibutsuji Muzan slowly approach Kagaya and Amane Ubuyashiki.
Despite his gentle and kind nature, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Corps, was suffering from the effects of a curse that had been passed down through his bloodline. In an upcoming conversation with Muzan, he will express his deep resentment and anger towards the demon. Ever since he became a demon, all males in his family have been cursed with short lives. Kagaya’s ultimate aim is to eliminate Muzan and every other demon who is wreaking havoc.
The Hashiras have valid concerns as Muzan poses a significant threat to Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s life. Additionally, being the most powerful demon, Muzan presents a formidable challenge for the Hashiras and demon hunters who must risk their lives to defeat him. The upcoming episode promises to be thrilling and will mark the beginning of the Infinity Castle arc.
Despite the vast power and skill differences, it is expected that there will be casualties among both regular demon hunters and Hashiras. It will be intriguing to witness Gyomei, Sanemi, and Obanai confronting Muzan and his Upper Moon demons as the series progresses.
