Creating Outfit Presets in Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Step-by-Step Guide

Disney Dreamlight Valley has recently introduced a feature that allows players to create saved outfit presets in their Wardrobe, although it may not be immediately apparent how to do this.

The Dapper Delights update for Disney’s farming and life simulation game, released in August, also gives fans the opportunity to open Tiana’s Palace restaurant and invite Tiana to join the Valley.

Among the updates in the patch notes was the addition of the ability to create and save outfits in the Wardrobe.

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, players can save up to four outfits, making it easy to switch between your favorite looks. Here’s how to do it:

PC

  1. Press the “I” key to open your inventory.
  2. Select Wardrobe.
  3. Go to the Favorites tab.
  4. Click the plus button to add the outfit you are wearing as a preset.
  5. Name the outfit and click “OK.”

Consoles

  1. Press the “X” button (Triangle on PlayStation and Y on Xbox) to open your inventory.
  2. Navigate to the Wardrobe.
  3. Select the Favorites tab.
  4. Press the plus button to add the outfit you are currently wearing as a preset.
  5. Name the outfit and select “OK.”

It’s that simple! Just remember that outfit presets can be found in the Favorites section of your Wardrobe, which might be less obvious than you think.

Unfortunately, some players have encountered a frustrating bug that prevents saving outfits on PC. While it works fine on Nintendo Switch, the game may not allow you to press the OK button after naming the outfit on PC.

If you’re experiencing this issue, consider these potential solutions:

  • Relaunch DDV: Exiting the game and re-entering it can often resolve issues. Restarting your PC may also help.
  • Verify Integrity of Game Files: If using Steam, you can verify your game files by right-clicking on DDV in your library, selecting Properties, and under Installed Files, clicking “Verify integrity of game files.”
  • Reinstall DDV: As a last resort, uninstalling and then reinstalling DDV may fix the problem.

If the bug persists after trying these fixes, consider reaching out to Gameloft support to describe your issue to the developers.

In the meantime, you can enjoy the End of Summer event in Disney Dreamlight Valley to take your mind off these problems.
