Despite numerous appeals from players, developers of Black Ops 6 have not yet resolved a critical issue with the Zombies mode, specifically a glitch that leaves players trapped outside the navigable bounds of the game.

The introduction of the Amalgam enemy in Black Ops 6 Zombies has not been well received by the gaming community. This formidable foe is known to spawn on the Terminus and Citadelle des Morte maps, but its grab attack has led to frustrations as it sometimes disrupts the intended gameplay mechanics.

Reports of the glitch have surfaced since November, with many players highlighting a problem where the Amalgam’s grab can hurl them into walls from which they cannot escape. Although developers claimed to have addressed this issue shortly after it was reported, players have continued to encounter the same frustrating bug during their gameplay sessions.

Impact of the Amalgam Glitch on Zombies Gameplay

One player, sharing their experience on Reddit, discovered what they referred to as a “new out of bounds Amalgam spot” while playing on the Terminus map in the vicinity of the Holding Cells. In a video clip, they demonstrated how a single hit from the Amalgam propelled them through a previously unresponsive door.

Although they could still eliminate zombies and gain experience points from behind the closed door, the player found themselves stranded with no means of escape. Their only recourse was to save their progress and exit the game entirely.

Another user echoed similar sentiments, stating: “Yeah, that bug didn’t get ‘patched,’ as they claimed I still get pulled off the map occasionally.” This sentiment has been reinforced by various community members across social platforms, where players have documented their experiences, including TikTok videos showcasing the bug in action. One notable clip illustrated how the Amalgam could trap players against walls in the Citadelle des Morte location, with a caption reading, “We are cooked.”

As of now, Black Ops 6 developers remain silent on the issue, leaving players wondering when—or if—a fix will be implemented for this persistent and aggravating glitch.
