Criticism of Actress Seol In-ah for Wearing Mbappé Jersey Instead of Lee Kang-in

On May 12th, Seol In-ah shared multiple photos on her Instagram story, documenting her attendance at a Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) match in person.

The photo shows her wearing a PSG jersey and holding a banner with Lee Kang-in’s name on it.

The caption stated, “Keep fighting, Lee Kang-in!”

Despite this, certain fans were displeased by the fact that she chose to wear a Kylian Mbappé jersey instead of one featuring Lee Kang-in.

They questioned, “Why wear a Kylian Mbappé jersey if your intention is to show support for Lee Kang-in?”

Seol In-ah received criticism for wearing another player’s jersey, as Lee Kang-in is considered a representative player for South Korea.

Ultimately, she shared an explanation on her Instagram story on May 13th.

She explained, “Lee Kang-in’s shirt was not sold on that day. It was the last game for Kylian Mbappé with PSG.”

Furthermore, she voiced her exasperation, stating, “Please refrain from sending me such DMs. They are causing me distress.”In response, netizens showed their support towards Seol In-ah.

Some of the comments made were, “Why make such a big deal out of something like that?”, “It’s absurd that she even has to justify herself”, “The world we live in is so harsh”, “It’s her decision which jersey to purchase”, and “She simply showed her support for Lee Kang-in with a banner! You all are taking things too far.”

Seol In-ah made her acting debut in 2015 through KBS2’s “The Producers”after being born in 1996.

Following that, she rose to fame through her performances in various popular dramas such as JTBC’s “Strong Girl Bong-soon” , tvN’s “Record of Youth” , “Mr. Queen” , “Twinkling Watermelon” and SBS’s “Business Proposal” .
