CRKD has recently released a new, extremely compact ‘ATOM’ controller that also functions as a keychain.
CRKD and compact controllers are a perfect match. The brand, known for its original Nitro Deck, now offers the Neo S controllers specifically designed for the Nintendo Switch.
The brand’s controllers have become even smaller with the release of the new ATOM Collectible Keychain Controller, described as “impossibly small”.
The purpose of the ATOM controller is to be portable. Its accompanying wrist strap allows for secure use during play or the option to attach it to keychains, lanyards, and backpacks.
The ATOM controller is equipped with wireless Bluetooth technology, allowing it to connect to a variety of devices such as the Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs.
While it may not have all the fancy features of the Nitro Deck+, the “small yet mighty”controller still offers a battery life of up to 10 hours.
Additionally, if extra power is needed, it is possible to charge it using a micro USB-C to USB-A adaptor.
Despite its appearance, the controller is equipped with four shoulder buttons, allowing it to be used with a diverse range of games.
Whether your preference is to play classic Super Mario Bros or take on the extra challenge of an Elden Ring run on this compact gamepad, it is also able to connect with the DRKD True Collection System.
This complimentary mobile application allows for easy connection of the ATOM to a compatible device with just a simple tap of a button. It also enables you to add the ATOM to a personalized collection list.

Despite its minuscule size, CRKD has introduced the keychain controller in a vast selection of styles and colors.
The “eye-popping”color range features eight distinct options, including two “Grey Editions”with either SNES colored buttons or a combination of pink and orange.
Two variations in ‘Atomic Purple’ and ‘Glacier Blue’ are also available, both made of translucent plastic and evoking the 90s trend of plastic technology.
These are in addition to four keychain controllers that come in solid colors: Yuzu Yellow, Hot Pink Edition, Leaf Green Edition, and Sky Blue Edition.
The ATOM is currently available for purchase on the CRKD website for $19.99, making it a great option for those who are friends with Ant-Man or looking for a compact controller to take on their travels.
