Understanding Crosshair Settings

Accuracy

Turning off this feature is a common preference among players as it can be distracting during a match, as it adjusts the crosshair size based on your aim accuracy.

Color

The crosshair’s color plays a crucial role in its effectiveness. A contrasting color will make it stand out, while a different color may blend in with the background and be difficult to notice.

Introduction

The size of your crosshair is entirely up to your personal preference, with a range of 0 to 100 available.

Crosshair Length

Just like the crosshair thickness, this setting can also be adjusted according to the player’s preference. A good recommendation would be to choose a value between 5 and 15.

Center Gap

The center gap, which refers to the distance between the crosshair reticles, is typically adjusted by players for different Heroes. For instance, for Heroes such as Tracer and Soldier, a smaller center gap is preferred, while for tanks like Zarya and Reaper, a wider center gap is more suitable.

Opacity and Outline Opacity

You can manage the opacity of your crosshair by adjusting these settings.

Dot Size and Dot Opacity

Some players may prefer their crosshair without a dot at the center, even though it can serve as a focal point for their aim.

Scale with resolution

By using this setting, your in-game resolution will match your monitor resolution.

About Overwatch 2

Blizzard Entertainment is currently developing Overwatch 2, a first-person shooter set to be released in the future. Serving as a sequel to the 2016 hero shooter Overwatch, the game will include a shared environment for player-versus-player (PvP) modes with its predecessor, while also introducing new cooperative modes. One significant update in PvP is the reduction of team sizes from six to five, which has resulted in the need for several characters to undergo a rework.

On October 4, 2022, Overwatch 2 will be released as free-to-play on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Early access will be available on this date. The game will also offer full cross-platform play.
