The manga series Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction, created by Inio Asano (known for Goodnight Punpun), was first published in Shogakukan’s seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits in April 2014 and concluded in February 2022. Upcoming Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction Anime Set to Premiere in May 2024
On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Crunchyroll revealed that the Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction anime would be included in their spring anime lineup.
The two-part movie was previously debuted as an anime. While the first part premiered on March 22, the second part is scheduled to release on Friday, May 24 in Japan.
The highly anticipated Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction anime will make its debut on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 8:30 AM IST, exclusively on Crunchyroll. The series will consist of 18 episodes, with a new episode being released every week. Fans can also look forward to never-before-seen footage, exclusive to the anime adaptation.
The anime will be created by Production +h, the same studio behind The Orbital Children. Tomoyuki Kurokawa, renowned for his work on the Psycho-Pass anime, will serve as director. Reiko Yoshida, known for her contributions to popular series such as Violet Evergarden, Blue Bird, and A Silent Voice, will join as the series’ writer and screenwriter.
Regarding the primary characters in the anime, Kadode Koyama will be played by Lilas Ikuta and Oran Nakagawa will be portrayed by ano.
Lilas Ikuta is widely recognized as the singer-songwriter and lead vocalist of the music group YOASOBI. Their repertoire includes hit songs such as “IDOL”from Oshi no Ko, “Brave”from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and “The Blessing” from the Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury anime, which have gained global popularity.
Regarding ano, she is a musician known for her hit single “Chu, Tayousei”from Chainsaw Man.
It would delight fans to learn that Lilas Ikuta previously played the role of Hiro-chan in BELLE, while ano portrayed Mem-Cho in Oshi no Ko.
The anime has announced that the original movie theme song “ZeZeZeZettai Seiiki”by ano and Lilas Ikuta will also be featured in the new series.
