Season 4, also referred to as Black Butler: Public School Arc, continues the TV anime adaptation of Yana Toboso’s original manga series under the same name. This is the first complete television anime season for the series since 2014’s Black Butler: Book of Circus, which followed the same manga arc.
Black Butler Season 4: English Dub Premiere on Crunchyroll – April 27, 2024
Based on the most recent updates at the time this article was published, it has been confirmed that the English dub for season 4 of The Black Butler will debut on Saturday, April 27, 2024, and will be available for streaming exclusively on Crunchyroll. The main cast for the dub will feature J. Michael Tatum and Brina Palencia, who will once again portray Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive, respectively.
The English dub cast for season 4 has been expanded to include Reagan Murdock as Redmond, Brandon McInnis as Bluewer, Kieran Flitton as Violet, Jonah Scott as Greenhill, Ciarán Strange as McMillan, Branden Loera as Cheslock, Christian Taylor as Clayton, and Andrew Ebb as Agares. It is currently uncertain if this is the complete list of voice actors for the anime’s fourth season at the time of writing.
Caitlin Glass is at the helm as director for the English dub, while Samantha Herek takes on the role of producer and James Cheek oversees the adaptation process. Neal Malley is responsible for mixing, with Jamal Roberson serving as the engineer. This comprehensive team is most likely the complete staff list for the English dub, as the majority of key positions have already been filled by the original Japanese staff.
Kenjiro Okada serves as the director for the fourth season of the Black Clover anime at CloverWorks studios, while series composition is being handled by Hiroyuki Yoshino. Yumi Shimizu is the character designer and Ryo Kawasaki is the composer for this season. The opening theme song, titled “Kyoshinsha no Parade -The Parade of Battlers,”will be performed by composer -otoha-. The ending theme song, “Shokuzai”which translates to “Atonement,”will be performed by rock band SID.

“Butler Sebastian Michaelis works with his 13-year-old master, the earl Ciel Phantomhive, to do the dirty work of “the Queen’s guard dog”in nineteenth century England’s gritty underworld.
The synopsis further elaborates:
“One day, Ciel receives a letter from Queen Victoria telling him that several students at Weston College, one of England’s top public schools, have seemingly disappeared… including a relative of hers named Derrick. And so, Sebastian and Ciel infiltrate Weston College to get to the bottom of the matter. What truly happened to these students?”
On Saturday, April 13, 2024, the fourth season of Black Butler debuted in Japan on various broadcasting networks such as Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, BS11, and MBS. The anime is also being streamed on Crunchyroll for viewers in English-speaking, Latin American, and European countries. Previously, Crunchyroll had announced that it had obtained the license to stream the anime worldwide, with the exception of Japan.
