Crunchyroll has revealed its lineup for Spring 2024 and it looks great for anime fans – but two animes have yet to be confirmed.
Crunchyroll’s winter 2024 season was excellent, marking the return of titles such as Classroom of the Elite or Mashle. It was also an opportunity to discover some great new features, like Solo Leveling or A Sign of Affection.
But the season will soon end, and with the arrival of sunny days, a whole new batch of anime is about to hit fans. Especially since certain classics are already eagerly awaited: Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia will indeed return in May 2024.
But they will not be the only ones, far from it. Because according to the Crunchyroll programming, spectators will have a lot of choice for the spring season.
Spring programming announced by Crunchyroll
In the middle of a program loaded with new releases and sequels, Crunchyroll highlighted four titles in particular, all expected in April 2024: Kaiju No.8, Viral Hit, Black Butler -Public School Arc- and part 2 of Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac – Battle for Sanctuary.
Kaiju No. 8 will be the adaptation by the studio Production IG of the eponymous manga by Naoya Matsumoto: the series will immerse its spectators from April 13 in a world where giant monsters have become commonplace, even taking a large place in the economy of Japan: for the sectors of work, raw resources or even the army, these destructive creatures become the daily lives of many people. But the hero, Kafka, is not satisfied with his situation. Until an incident turns him into one of the monsters hunted by the soldiers.
Kaiju No. 8 will not be the only series to be released on April 13, 2024: Black Butler will also return to the small screen, bringing Sebastian and his young master Ciel into a new adventure within a public school with dark secrets.
Another anime that is catching the eye of spectators, Viral Hit is expected for April 10. The synopsis shared by Crunchyroll presents the series adapting the webtoon of the same name as follows: “After a fight that creates a buzz, Hobin Yu becomes the star of fights against people stronger than him.”
Other anime are worth a look for the month of April 2024: A Condition Called Love will offer the sweetness of a first love, while Astro Note will lean more towards a romance braving borders. Bartender Glass of God will give pride of place to human relationships and complicated stories, supplement divine cocktails, and Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf will broadcast the remake of the anime of the same name released in 2008.
