Crunchyroll to add Hindi, Tamil, and Telegu dub for Haikyuu!!, Blue Lock, and more

The streaming platform will be adding Blue Lock, along with five other anime series, to their collection in Summer 2024. These series will also be available in regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

It has been evident to anime enthusiasts that Crunchyroll has made significant efforts to broaden its reach in India. In the beginning, the platform introduced regional language dubs and screenings for popular anime series. These efforts were then followed by the company’s debut advertising campaign in India, which featured Indian actors Tiger Shroff and Rashmika Mandanna.

As previously stated, Crunchyroll has announced plans to release Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs for seven anime titles in May and June of 2024. These anime were originally released years ago, but at the time, the streaming platform did not offer regional language dubs for anime.

Therefore, with the streaming platform’s recent addition of regional language dubs for multiple anime, it is expected to also launch these dubs for seven additional anime.

It appears that only Hindi regional language dub will be included in the anime adaptation of Log Horizon. This is consistent with the first season, which also only featured Hindi dubbing.

Additionally, Dr. Stone season 1 deviates from the typical release pattern of anime in a few ways. Rather than releasing all episodes at once, the anime will be split into two parts. The first 12 episodes are set to release on May 29, with the remaining episodes 13-24 following on June 26.

Likewise, the release pattern for Blue Lock season 1 and Haikyuu!! season 1 is expected to be similar. However, the specific release dates for the second part of the anime have not yet been revealed.

Finally, there is the highly anticipated second season of Log Horizon. Although the season consists of 25 episodes, it will not be divided into parts or released all at once. Instead, viewers can expect to watch the thrilling action-adventure anime on a weekly basis.
