Ropz Joins Team Vitality: A New Era Begins
Team Vitality has recently announced the acquisition of Robin ‘ropz’ Kool, a notable former rifler for FaZe Clan. His arrival on the team marks a significant change in the roster, with ropz stepping in to fill the position formerly held by Spinx.
Ropz’s Journey with FaZe Clan
Since joining FaZe in January 2022, ropz proved to be an integral part of the team, leading them to major victories including a prestigious Major trophy and securing the Intel Grand Slam. However, the year 2024 presented more challenges for FaZe, culminating in a narrow loss in the grand finals to Team Spirit during the Shanghai Major in December.
Vitality’s Attempts at Dominance
Similarly, Team Vitality has faced hurdles in leveraging the extraordinary potential of players like ZywOo and Spinx to create a successful streak. Despite these challenges, they managed to clinch the IEM Cologne trophy in August, showcasing their competitive spirit.

The onset of 2025 has triggered a wave of roster changes within the CS2 landscape, with ropz’s transition to Vitality being one of the most significant moves of the offseason.
Ropz’s Potential in a New Team
Despite FaZe’s struggles in the previous year, ropz’s individual talent remains unquestionable. Notably, he has been a consistent presence in HLTV’s top 20 players list since 2018, reaching a remarkable peak at number 3 in 2023. Although his ranking slipped to 18th in 2024, his prospects for growth within a new lineup, especially under the leadership of a fresh in-game leader (IGL), apEX, are promising as he heads into 2025.
In a recent announcement video, ropz expressed his ambitions and enthusiasm for his new journey, stating, “It’s time to take Vitality to new heights.”

As ropz joins the Team Vitality lineup, Spinx has yet to officially announce his next move but has shared his eagerness for what lies ahead. In a reflective post, he stated, “Grateful for the memories we had together. I’ve decided it’s time to move on; the decision wasn’t easy, but I’m excited for what’s next 💛.”
