On May 24th, Daesung shared a video titled “Daesung going outside the hotel (in Osaka)”on his YouTube channel “Zip Daesung”.
When inquired about his most frequent communication, Daesung mentioned, “Recently, it’s mainly with my manager. Due to my ongoing tour and other obligations, that’s been the case.”
He mentioned, “My second most recent communication was with Youngbae (Taeyang’s given name). Just a few days ago, his friend developed vocal cord nodules. As an authority on nodules, I provided him with all the necessary information, including suggestions for hospitals.”
When questioned about any updates on BIGBANG, Daesung disclosed, “This is the current situation, my friends. And perhaps, in the future, it may happen again? That is a possibility. However, I cannot provide any specific details. My words do not represent the views of the other members of BIGBANG. At present, we are all focused on our individual endeavors, but I hope that in the near future, we will have the opportunity to reunite on stage.”
Daesung confirmed that BIGBANG does have a group chat, but it is primarily used for providing feedback and support to each other. After Jiyong watched “Zip Daesung”, he messaged the group chat to express his enjoyment of the show and discuss potential timing for future viewings. Daesung then called Jiyong to explain the show’s concept and assure him that it would not make guests uncomfortable. Jiyong fully understood and responded positively, suggesting they consider timing for future viewings.
In 2006, BIGBANG made their debut and gained popularity with their hit songs like “Lies” , “Haru Haru” , “Sunset Glow” , “Bang Bang Bang” , and more. However, in 2017, T.O.P was accused of smoking cannabis while serving in the military as a police officer. This controversy was followed by Seungri leaving the group in 2019 and retiring from the entertainment industry due to his involvement in the Burning Sun Scandal.
In April 2022, BIGBANG released the song “Still Life”as a quartet without Seungri and has remained on a hiatus since then. T.O.P has also departed from the group, leaving only Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung as the remaining members of BIGBANG.
