Dance crew disturbed as men come “dangerously close” during street performance

A group of dancers posted a video on TikTok showing the moment their street routine was disrupted by men who were making fun of them.

After footage of a random man interrupting their street performance was shared on TikTok, Bubble Tea Pandas, a K-pop dance cover group from Germany, quickly gained viral attention.

Mai Linhii, a member of the group, shared their dance cover of ‘Touch’ by KATSEYE in a public square in their country. The 7-second clip has gained over 7.5 million views.

“As she shared the video, in which a man can be seen standing closely behind one of the dancers and attempting to imitate their moves, she expressed how the enjoyable public dance suddenly turned unsettling.”

Thankfully, Ayumi, our group’s camerawoman, intervened and pushed the man away, as described by Mai in her caption for the post. Ayumi ultimately protected us from the situation.

Several TikTok users commended Ayumi for quickly intervening when she noticed the unwanted guest, as seen in the comments section. One individual wrote, “Her attitude and power are admirable! I adore her.”

“Despite her aura points being 10000x, she did not appear scared,”one person commented. Another person remarked, “I was impressed by how she handled the situation – very demure and mindful.”

Some viewers expressed disapproval towards the men’s actions, with one stating, “I don’t see the need for people to interfere with others. Just because someone is taking a photo or dancing in public, it doesn’t give others the right to intrude on their activities.”

Mai later disclosed in the comments that she had been frightened by the presence of the heavily intoxicated men who were taunting the dancers. She mentioned, however, that the strangers had fortunately departed after their camerawoman stepped in.

A TikTok busker gained viral attention for shutting down a man who accused her of lip-syncing, but this is not the first instance of a street performance being rudely interrupted.
