On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the opening and ending theme songs and visual sequences for the highly anticipated Dandadan anime series were apparently leaked on X (formerly Twitter). The source of these leaks remains unknown at the time of writing, but they have been widely reposted and shared by numerous users on the platform.
Despite some doubts, the validity of the leaks is reinforced by the presence of Science SARU’s branding and credits, along with other production-related labels and text on screen. This is further backed by attendees of the Anime Expo 2024, who assert that the opening and ending themes shown there are identical to those featured in the leaked footage.

In addition, there have been claims that the entire first episode of the Dandadan anime has been leaked online. However, this alleged leak is currently not accessible on X and cannot be confirmed. Nevertheless, the leaked opening does appear to include a short glimpse of the episode itself after the theme song and visuals have ended.
Despite the leaks, it remains unclear if the final product in October will match the opening scenes, as the production team may choose to redo the visuals. While not guaranteed, it is a possibility due to the high anticipation and enthusiasm surrounding the TV adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga.
The beginning scene features vibrant colors and centers around prominent characters Momo Ayase, Ken “Okarun” Takakura, Aira Shiratori, Jin Enjoji, and Seiko Ayase. Viewers can also catch glimpses of supporting characters like Mr. Mantis Shrimp, Turbo Granny, and the Serpo aliens. The final scene highlights Turbo Granny’s adventures in her most recognizable form, which will be familiar to fans throughout the majority of the anime series.
The purported leaks also appear to support earlier reports about the anticipated opening theme song for the show. According to the leak, the hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts can be heard performing their latest track “Otonoke.”Although the ending theme had not been officially revealed, the leaked information states that it will be “TAIDADA”by ZUTOMAYO.
Tatsu’s manga series, which debuted on Shueisha’s digital Shonen Jump+ platform in April 2021, is still ongoing and regularly serialized to this day. The author is currently taking a one-month hiatus to conduct research for the upcoming arc, with plans for a return in early September 2024.
