A brief recap of Dandadan chapter 148
Chapter 148 picked up right where the previous installment left off, continuing the story with Okarun and Momo’s reunion.
Zuma and Momo were both perplexed by their continued presence within the game, even after successfully destroying the crystal. However, Turbo Granny eventually clarified that they were trapped within a cursed wicker trunk, which served as a seal for an imprisoned evil Yokai.
After discovering that Zuma and Momo had destroyed the seals that served as guardian deities, Granny was taken aback. It dawned on them that the Yokai had intentionally turned the world into a game in order to manipulate humans into aiding its escape from the confines of the realm.
Once the Yokai revealed itself, Granny immediately identified it as the Fairy-Tale Card, a being with the ability to possess anyone who made eye contact with it. Worried about the safety of her companions, Granny urged everyone to avoid looking at the Yokai. The Fairy-Tale Card then revealed its plan of using humans to gain its freedom.
Having experienced difficult journeys and feeling overlooked by society, the delinquents were persuaded by the Yokai to stay. In a surprising turn of events, the Yokai’s right-hand man became a puppet after catching the Yokai’s eye. The Yokai then used his body to launch an attack on Zuma and eventually gained control over his body as well.
What to expect from Dandadan Chapter 149 (Speculative)?
In chapter 149 of Dandadan, we will witness the Yokai’s next move as he takes control of Zuma’s body, giving him an even bigger advantage.
Momo and Okarun will once again enlist the aid of Granny in their ongoing battle against Zuma. It appears that the students of Renjaku High School may be tempted by the Yokai’s proposition to remain under his control. The final decision, however, will only be disclosed in the upcoming chapter.
