Charlie Cox’s iconic character, the Man Without Fear, makes his much-anticipated return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the newly rebooted series, Daredevil: Born Again.
The talented actor originally brought Daredevil to life in the Netflix series and appeared alongside other heroes in The Defenders before that universe was unceremoniously canceled.
However, after persistent requests from devoted fans, Marvel Studios reintegrated Cox’s Matt Murdock into the MCU in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk, and Echo, paving the way for a bright future filled with numerous forthcoming Marvel films and television shows.
Daredevil: Born Again has undergone a challenging production process, experiencing a complete overhaul in the midst of filming. Fortunately, prospects appear to be improving for our beloved lawyer.
Release Date for Daredevil: Born Again
The eagerly awaited Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on March 4, 2025, on Disney Plus.
Looking ahead to the 2025 release schedule, Captain America 4 is slated for February, followed by Thunderbolts in May, and Fantastic Four hitting theaters in July, with Daredevil nicely filling the void between February and May.
A surprising announcement from the D23 Marvel panel revealed that Born Again has already been renewed for a second season even before its debut. This bold decision comes amidst fluctuating confidence in the series thus far.
After Chris Ord and Matt Corman stepped away from their roles as head writers in October 2023, directing duties have now shifted to Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, known for their work on both Moon Knight and Loki Season 2.

Rumors have emerged from star Charlie Cox, suggesting a potential for several cameos. Speculation ranges from Spider-Man to the return of The Defenders, with scooper My Time To Shine hinting that Tony Dalton may reprise his role as Jack Duquesne, aka The Swordsman, who last appeared in Hawkeye (2021).
What Is the Plot of Daredevil: Born Again?
While an official synopsis is yet to be released, it is revealed that Daredevil will confront multiple foes in Born Again.
During the D23 event, Feige mentioned, “In Daredevil: Born Again, we’ve captured the essence of the original series while charting a brand new course for Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk.”
The finale of Echo hints that the series may adapt a storyline from the comics involving Kingpin’s mayoral campaign in New York City, suggesting that Fisk might run on a platform against costumed vigilantes, targeting Daredevil in particular.
In addition to Kingpin, Daredevil will also face off against various villains, such as Muse and Bullseye, with a version of White Tiger set to make an appearance.
A set photo showcasing Jeremy Earl’s Officer Cole North wearing a Punisher symbol on his uniform indicates that Bernthal’s subplot may explore corrupt law enforcement misusing the vigilante’s symbolism.

Is There a Trailer Available?
The initial trailer for Daredevil: Born Again was revealed at the D23 event. However, this footage has not yet been made available to the public.
This teaser included familiar characters, such as Bernthal’s return, with Daredevil declaring, “Somebody’s gotta protect the streets,” and “New York is what it’s always been: Out for blood.”
A further trailer was also screened at the 2024 New York Comic Con on October 19, yet Disney Plus has yet to share any footage online.

Daredevil Season 1
The first season of Netflix’s Daredevil lays the groundwork for its main character. We meet his best friend Foggy Nelson, his future colleague Karen Page, and his mentor Stick.
We are also introduced to Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, a powerful crime lord seeking to dominate Hell’s Kitchen and beyond. Fortunately, Daredevil triumphs and manages to imprison Fisk by the end of the season.
Daredevil Season 2
In the second season, the storyline introduces a maniacal vigilante known as The Punisher, who is on a mission to eradicate mobsters one by one. While The Punisher’s approach to justice somewhat mirrors Daredevil’s, their philosophical differences create a rift between them.
This season also brings Daredevil into conflict with a secretive organization known as The Hand, which has ties to Matt’s former love, Elektra Natchios.
Daredevil Season 3
Despite his apparent demise in the crossover series The Defenders, Matt Murdock reemerges but is left severely injured in Season 3. While he recuperates, Wilson Fisk negotiates a deal with the FBI to safeguard his wife, Vanessa.
Eventually, Fisk is released from prison and begins to restore his public persona, even recruiting a troubled NYPD officer, Benjamin ‘Dex’ Poindexter (also known as Bullseye), to eliminate Daredevil. Thankfully, Matt ultimately prevails against both adversaries by the season’s end.
