Overview of Date A Live
Based on Koshi Tachibana’s highly praised light novel series, Date A Live revolves around the main character, Shido Itsuka. As Shido tries to save his sister Kotori from an approaching spatial quake, he becomes entangled in the event himself. This experience reveals to him the presence of supernatural creatures known as “spirits,”whose mere presence brings about the quakes. This puts Shido in the middle of a battle between these spirits and the Anti-Spirit Strike Team, whose mission is to eradicate them, setting him on a daring journey.
Shido is compelled to join Ratatoskr, an organization that supports the Spirits. His sister Kotori is its leader. Through this, Shido discovers his ability to calm the spirits by making them fall in love with him. He sets out on a unique quest to save both his world and the spirits. The series seamlessly combines action, fantasy, and sci-fi elements, with romance intertwined in its storytelling.
