On October 29, Saram Entertainment, the agency representing Choi Hee-jin, announced that she will take on the role of Yoon Nan-woo in MBC’s upcoming drama, “Motel California.”
This series is a romantic tale centered around first love, depicting the journey of a woman, who, having grown up in a modest motel in the countryside, crosses paths with her first love upon returning to her hometown after a 12-year absence. With Lee Se-young and Na In-woo also confirmed for the roles of Ji Gang-hee and Cheon Yeon-soo, respectively, Choi Hee-jin’s casting adds to the buzz surrounding the drama.
In this drama, Choi Hee-jin will portray Yoon Nan-woo, a passionate veterinarian whose dedication to her field stemmed from her profound love for animals. She will be teaming up with her senior from university, Cheon Yeon-soo (played by Na In-woo), and becomes embroiled in an unforeseen scandal with him, thus bringing an intriguing dynamic to the storyline.
Choi Hee-jin has made her mark in the industry with a diverse filmography that includes roles in Disney+ original series “The Impossible Heir,” as well as dramas like “Strong Girl Nam-soon” and “Behind Your Touch.” Her film credits include “The Girl on a Bulldozer,” “Good Deal,” and “Next Door.”
“Motel California” is set to premiere in the first half of next year.
