Dawn and HyunA’s Marriage: A Change of Heart and New Beginnings Announcement

Oneness Korea, a pioneering virtual content production company, has reinvented Dawn, previously a member of the idol group Pentagon, into an innovative virtual artist known as Edan Maverick.

Since late May, Edan Maverick has been actively sharing an array of unique concepts and creative content across social media platforms. From October 10 through 13, he showcased his inaugural exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery and Outernet in London, coinciding with the 2024 FOCUS ART FAIR.

The exhibition was spurred by the organizers, who were enchanted by the distinctive thematic elements of Edan Maverick’s artworks. His presentation of the “Black Sheep” theme, skillfully expressed through innovative fabric techniques, attracted considerable attention from both artists and visitors at the Saatchi Gallery. Following the success of his exhibition, organizers of the FOCUS ART FAIR have already invited him for future events.

Additionally, Edan Maverick’s conceptual video, crafted with generative AI and 3D technologies, garnered extensive acclaim as “exceptional media art,”leading to a wave of collaboration requests from various brands present at the event.

Edan Maverick is broadening his artistic scope beyond conventional roles such as singer or model. He is engaging with active creators in diverse domains, including painting, sculpture, fashion, ceramics, and illustration. His vision of “expanding the universe” aims to set him apart from other virtual personalities by developing a rich array of content and a multifaceted worldview, thereby evolving into a distinctive intellectual property beyond mere technological representation.

Under the leadership of CEO Kim Jin-soo, who played a key role in the creation of Korea’s first virtual influencer, Rozy, Oneness Korea is at the forefront of developing novel virtual content that synergizes 3D and AI technology.

Kim Jin-soo stated, “Edan Maverick’s Black Sheep concept seeks to collaborate with artists from less conventional fields such as sculpture, painting, ceramics, and illustration, bringing this eclectic art to the public via social media. This strategy will transform perceptions of virtual humans, and as Edan Maverick’s body of work grows, so too will its intrinsic value.”

In a personal update, Dawn publicly disclosed his relationship with HyunA on August 2, 2018, noting their partnership began in May 2016. Their engagement was shared on February 3, 2022, but by November 2022, HyunA announced their separation on Instagram.

Recently, HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung have officially married.
