In Destiny 2’s The Final Shape expansion, players are faced with their second mission, Temptation. The objective is to deactivate three conduit switches in order to lower a barrier that is blocking a vital entrance to a cave. How to Deactivate Conduits in Destiny 2
Destiny 2 players who have reached The Final Shape can disable the conduits by placing Psionic Insights to redirect the lever towards the section with the glowing light. The area contains three conduits, each identified by a floating, glowing obelisk.
The large machines known as conduits have a circular platform with a lever in the center, resembling a clock. The lever acts as a hand, pointing to specific points on the outside of the circle. To rotate the lever, the machine is equipped with both clockwise and counterclockwise buttons.
The clockwise and counterclockwise buttons need to be powered up with Psionic Insights every time they are used. This action will cause the lever to rotate in the direction that was selected. Additionally, there are markings on the outer edge of the circle, with one point emitting a faint light.
The goal is to incorporate Psionic Insights into the device and rotate the lever either clockwise or counterclockwise until it is aligned with the shining light. It may be necessary to perform this task once or twice for the conduits.
How to Obtain Psionic Insights in Destiny 2’s The Final Shape
To acquire Psionic Insights, you can defeat the Insight Psions located near the conduits. These enemies will continuously respawn, eliminating the need to search for new areas if you require additional insights.
Eliminating these Insight Psions will result in the acquisition of Psionic Insights, indicated in the bottom-left corner above the Super meter. Be sure to defeat the correct number of Insight Psions before inserting them into the conduit, as the number of Insights possessed will determine the distance the lever moves.
