What are Runes in Deadlock?
In Deadlock, players can obtain Runes which provide temporary boosts to their stats during a match. There are four types of Runes that can appear in the game, each offering a different type of boost.
- Movement: Increases speed and stamina
- Gun: Improves fire rate and magazine size
- Casting: Improves Spirit power
- Survival: Increases health and health regen
Each Rune will remain active for approximately three minutes after being claimed.
How to Obtain Runes
During matches in Deadlock, Runes will appear every five minutes after the 10-minute mark. These Runes can be easily located on your minimap and will consistently spawn on the bridges near the Soul Urns (as indicated by the green circles above).
Every time, only two Runes will appear. To receive the buff, all you have to do is walk over the Rune that is floating above the illuminated grate.
To check the duration of the boost, you can monitor the purple bar on the left side of your screen. Additionally, it is possible to have multiple Runes active at once.
Be sure to arrive on time before another player snatches the stat boost. Monitor the timer at the top of your screen to be aware of when the next set of Runes will appear.
