Deadlock Reveals 12 Unreleased Heroes: Players Adore One in Particular

Deadlock players have uncovered 12 unreleased heroes hidden within the game, with one character, Slork, stealing the spotlight due to his unique design.

Deadlock, a game centered on mastering your hero’s skills, currently features 21 playable characters in its roster.

However, players have discovered that there are 12 unreleased heroes concealed in the game files, ready to be accessed through specific commands.

In the Sandbox mode, players can unlock these secret heroes, including characters like Gunslinger, a dual-pistol cowboy; Cadence, a fierce Viking warrior; and Tokomak, a Roomba-turned-hero. Among these hidden characters, Slork stands out as a favorite.

Slork resembles a character that could have emerged from a quirky character creator, featuring extremely long arms and a comically absurd shark costume adorned with monocles. This eccentric design has garnered a loving response from the Deadlock community.

The most upvoted Reddit comment regarding these unreleased heroes simply states “SLORK.” And honestly, what more is there to say?

Players have begun comparing him to Slark from Dota 2, another character with a shark theme. Memes like “We got Slark at home” are frequent, and some fans humorously theorize that Slork is merely a fan dressed as Slark.

One player reminded the community that many of these heroes may not ultimately make it into the final game, but it nonetheless offers an intriguing glimpse at Valve’s potential future plans.

For now, players can experiment with Slork and the other heroes in the closed playtest using console commands. Simply open the console with F7, type “dump_hero_names” to retrieve the list, and “selecthero hero_(name)” to bring them into the game.

The influx of new characters in Deadlock has the community buzzing, although it’s uncertain how they will influence gameplay if included in the final release.

Before Valve ceased support for stat tracker websites, Vindicta had a notably low win rate, yet she remained a favored option for new players.
