Deadlock’s Most Popular Character and Calls for Adjustments by Players

The Deadlock community is demanding a “significant overhaul”of one of the game’s simplest characters due to their “excessive”popularity, as revealed by their pick rate.

Despite being in its limited early access period, Deadlock has already attracted tens of thousands of players who log in daily. The game offers a wide range of characters to select from and allows for upgrades during matches to improve their abilities and strength, resulting in a steep learning curve.

As a MOBA game, Valve’s new hero-shooter features characters with challenging learning curves. But recent statistics reveal the most commonly selected heroes, with Seven being the top choice at an impressive pick rate of 91.97%, according to Tracklog.

Seven is known as a highly skilled caster in Deadlock due to his diverse range of abilities, all of which complement each other perfectly. His lightning ball is extremely effective from a distance and has a wide hitbox, while his Static Charge has the ability to immobilize enemies, making them vulnerable for elimination.

Seven’s ultimate ability has sparked much discussion within the community, with many players debating its impact. The Storm Cloud, a powerful tool in Seven’s arsenal, allows him to dominate large portions of the map when fully upgraded. When combined with Ivy’s ultimate, Seven becomes a formidable force capable of clearing the entire map.

The Deadlock community is urging the developers to give Seven extra attention due to their high pick rate in order to help balance the game.

One Reddit user shared their thoughts in a recent thread about Deadlock, stating, “It is absolutely crazy for a character to have those statistics in any game.”They also mentioned that while the character may not be overpowered or even strong, they have a “limited skill potential”yet can greatly affect the game.

Despite some Deadlock players attributing Seven’s high pick rate to the existence of “noob lobbies,”others argued that his win rate of 56% is a clear indication that the hero requires some adjustments.

One Deadlock player started by saying that Seven’s ultimate is not the issue and will eventually be understood by players. However, the player then went on to state that it is his base kit that is the problem.

The Deadlock community is anticipating some major reworks and nerfs for Seven in the upcoming months.
