Deadpool and Wolverine Team Up for First-Ever Circle to Search Easter Egg on Android

Google has unveiled the initial Easter egg for its Circle to Search function, showcasing Deadpool and Wolverine from the latest Marvel film.

As its name implies, Circle to Search is a function that allows you to encircle any item on your screen to perform a swift search without exiting the current app. This convenient feature is accessible on Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices.

According to 9to5Google, when searching for information about the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie or its characters, the screen will display animations of Deadpool, Wolverine, or Dogpool.

This new Easter egg differs from the usual ones found in Google Search results as it appears above the results, on the Circle to Search interface. It is a recently introduced feature that is still being gradually made available, so if you do not see it yet, rest assured that we have not seen it either.

The search feature is exclusively accessible on the latest Samsung Galaxy phones and Pixel phones. Therefore, if you have a more affordable model, you will not have access to this feature.

The Search Easter egg in the Circle is merely a component of the extensive marketing strategy for the upcoming film, set to release in theaters on July 26th. The campaign began with the introduction of a hugely popular popcorn bucket in the shape of Wolverine’s open mouth.

On July 17th, Microsoft surprised fans by releasing a playful Xbox controller adorned with Deadpool’s posterior. They later unveiled a corresponding Wolverine controller, showcasing the superhero’s backside as well.

The MCU experience of Deadpool and Wolverine is a must-see, filled with giddy and gruesome moments, and surprisingly emotional. While it may have some flaws, the overwhelming nostalgia and unapologetic joy you’ll experience in the cinema will take center stage.

It appears that the movie’s extensive marketing efforts are successfully expanding its reach to a wider audience, which could contribute to the promotion of Google’s latest circle-to-search feature on Android.
