Deadpool & Wolverine Review Slammed for “Insulting” Fans

The reviews for Deadpool & Wolverine have been released, and although the R-rated MCU movie has received plenty of praise, one review has made a direct jab at the fans.

Despite some potential misunderstandings, it can be agreed that Deadpool 3 is receiving positive feedback. Currently, the highly anticipated Marvel film holds an 80% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 141 reviews.

As we mentioned in our glowing four-star review, “Deadpool and Wolverine”is an essential MCU experience that is both exhilarating and emotional, with a surprising level of intensity.

Although much of the criticism surrounding the superhero movie is aimed at its content, the LA Times also made a dig at the fandom, stating, “While it may entertain its intended audience of nerds and those who are constantly online, Deadpool & Wolverine ultimately falls short and lacks substance.”

Predictably, the fans were not pleased with the feedback and one even shared the quote on Reddit with the caption, “Umm, can you not insult the audience?”

After reading the post, someone commented, “It’s interesting to see a film critic who doesn’t enjoy fun movies. It’s definitely a distinctive and refreshing perspective.”

“Another individual expressed, “To be frank, Deadpool’s humor will always be a hit or miss. His internal dialogue is meant to reflect the thoughts of the audience. And the excessive and exaggerated violence, that’s what defines Deadpool.”

“In all honesty, the glowing reviews I have encountered only add to the already high expectations for this movie. So please understand as a person heavily invested in online culture, I will thoroughly enjoy this film.”

Additionally, a fourth individual jokingly remarked, “Looks like someone forgot to put on their brown pants.”

Someone gave a piece of advice: Don’t waste your time caring about that nonsense. Deadpool certainly wouldn’t. In fact, he would probably embrace it.”

Furthermore, there exists a group of individuals who have fully embraced the label, such as the person who stated, “That’s exactly how I would describe us.”

Another person added, “I have no issue with being referred to as a geek. In fact, I take pride in being a comic book geek!”
