A group of Ryans gathered for a highly popular Deadpool & Wolverine movie showing, accompanied by a Hugh – but there’s a twist.
To honor Ryan Reynolds and the record-breaking performance of Deadpool & Wolverine at the box office, a group of fans named Ryan gathered at a theater for a special showing of the MCU blockbuster with a focus on Ryan’s character.
The screening, which has now gone viral on TikTok, appears to have been a lot of fun. Attendees were all sporting matching Ryan-themed Deadpool shirts and enjoyed watching commercials for companies owned by Ryan. They even came up with a fictional character named “Ryann”Reynolds and assisted those interested in legally changing their names to Ryan.
Naturally, those who have watched the video may have observed a noticeable burst of yellow. As Ryan Reynolds extended an invitation to Hugh, for his grand occasion, they also welcomed their own Hugh. He can be seen throughout the video donning Wolverine-inspired clothing.

In the video, they disclose that he is not just any Hugh, as his surname happens to be Ryan. It’s a playful nod to the current popularity of the Ryan name.
The event was organized by Ryan Meetup, a non-profit organization with the goal of breaking the current world record for the largest gathering of individuals with the same name. The current record is held by 2,325 Ivans who met in Kupres, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2017.
Aside from showing Deadpool movies, they have also organized their own special event, St. Ryan’s Day, and created a Christmas character named Ryan Claus. They gained attention in the past for arranging a meet-up in Florida, Ryami Vice, inspired by the popular television series from the 1980s.
Based on the Ryan Meetup website, individuals with any variation of the name Ryan, such as Ryanns, Ryons, and Rians, are welcome to attend their events. However, Bryans are not permitted as they are considered lesser versions of Ryans.
