The joining of Deadpool and Wolverine marks the start of the X-Men universe merging with the MCU. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are already eager to cross paths with another major Marvel character.
Despite the upcoming Marvel movie having numerous cameos planned, the two main stars have their sights set on the future. They are in agreement that if they were to choose their next teammate, it would be Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
“During an interview with Marvel Thailand, Ryan Reynolds expressed his desire to play alongside Spider-Man if given the opportunity. He also praised Tom Holland’s talent and described him as amazing.”
“That sounds like a great idea,”Jackman enthusiastically concurred. “He’s young, so we could definitely take advantage of that and have some fun at his expense.”
“Reynolds pointed out that no matter how hard you hit him, he cannot be hurt and will always get back up.”
Is it probable that Spider-Man and Deadpool will team up, or is it a far-fetched possibility?
Despite numerous potential cameo candidates, including the Human Torch and Taylor Swift, securing Spider-Man would be a difficult task. However, this has not deterred some from searching for clues that Holland may make an appearance in the upcoming film.
During the special sneak peek event featuring 30 minutes of Deadpool & Wolverine, it was revealed that Holland would not be making an appearance on screen. This was hinted at when a framed photo of Tony Stark and Spider-Man was shown, with careful avoidance of showing Tom Holland’s face.
Despite the possibility that he may not be permitted to appear in photographs, it seems unlikely that we will see the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man in the rest of the movie. However, based on what we’ve heard, it seems that Marvel fans would not object to this.
According to one X/Twitter user, Wolverine would have a similar opinion towards being on a team with Spider-Man. Another user suggested that the two should be included in an Avengers movie.
Another person urged, “Kevin Feige, please make this happen,”according to a tweet by user @english_shamar.
