Deadpool & Wolverine: The Detail That Made Grown Men Sob

The movie Deadpool & Wolverine was intended to be a comedy, however, a particular detail in the upcoming film has caused grown men to shed tears even before its release.

Undoubtedly, the upcoming Marvel movie is sure to elicit a strong emotional response from any Marvel fan. Not only is it the first R-rated film in the MCU, but it also marks the highly anticipated and victorious team-up of Deadpool and Wolverine.

Despite the fact that Jackman previously portrayed Wolverine in Logan, seven years later he is reprising the role once again. However, it is not these details that are causing Marvel fans to shed tears. Rather, it is the introduction of Wolverine’s iconic yellow suit.

Executive producer Wendy Jacobson, speaking to Hey U Guys, shared how the crew members were moved to tears upon seeing the suit for the first time during the camera test prior to filming.

“Witnessing both of those men together in their costumes was simply mind-blowing. The sight of Hugh stepping out in the iconic yellow and blue outfit brought grown men to tears on set. It was clear that this was an incredibly special moment.”

Wolverine’s signature yellow and blue suit has been a staple of the character since its appearance in the ’90s X-Men animated series. However, in live-action adaptations, Wolverine has typically been portrayed in black leather costumes.

During the production of the new Marvel movie, it was certain that he would once again wear the vibrant costume.

According to Ryan Reynolds, in an interview with Variety, the suit was not a major topic of discussion during the early stages of development. It was an obvious choice that this character could not be portrayed without wearing the suit.

The highly anticipated film, Deadpool and Wolverine, is set to hit theaters on July 26. Alternatively, you can read all about our findings from the exclusive sneak preview event and our analysis of the potential Lady Deadpool suspects.
