Defeating Elder Jinchi requires a considerable amount of strategic thinking and adeptness. In order to reach him, you must overcome the three bell guardians – Guangzhi, Guangmou, and the Whiteclad Noble – and ring the bells to gain entry to the alternate Guanyin Temple.

To emerge victorious against Elder Jinchi in Black Myth: Wukong, utilize the small windows of opportunity between his attacks to retaliate. It is crucial to be well-versed in Jinchi’s combat style, which resembles that of the Wandering Wight, in order to anticipate and counter his moves effectively. Additionally, it is wise to avoid the golden ghosts as they have the potential to detonate or become collateral damage from Jinchi’s strikes.

In the midst of the battle, Jinchi gains temporary invincibility and attempts to heal himself by absorbing spirits in the vicinity. Prevent him from healing by eliminating the nearby spirits and evading his attacks, ultimately resulting in his defeat.

Upon entering the arena, Elder Jinchi greets you with a telegraphed energy attack, characterized by his intricate arm movement and illuminated hand. Utilize this opportunity to strike, as he is vulnerable during his gradual recuperation.

Subsequently, he usually proceeds to execute a simple Stomp and Punch Combo, which can be easily avoided by timing it precisely.

  • Elder Jinchi’s attacks are slow, giving you time to charge heavy strikes from a distance. However, be aware that he has increased resistance to staggering, so be prepared to dodge even after completing a combo.
  • The Smash Stance is ideal for this fight, as it enables movement while charging and faster charging speeds, proving highly beneficial.
  • Exercise caution when facing the ghosts in the arena, as they may become aggressive when summoned by the boss. When they begin to glow with a golden hue, they will charge towards you and self-destruct. It is important to stop attacking and prioritize evading and creating distance until all of the ghosts have been eliminated.
  • Furthermore, after absorbing the spirits’ essence, Jinchi will release a powerful shockwave with a noticeable delay. Keep an eye out for his glowing hand and quickly move to the side to evade this formidable attack.
  • When the boss’s health drops to less than 50%, he will become invulnerable for around a minute. During this phase of the battle, disciples will emerge from the outer sections of the arena, which may be difficult to spot due to poor visibility.
  • The enemies appear in a sequence, moving in an anticlockwise direction, which makes it convenient to quickly defeat them with a single strike. This not only allows you to absorb their life force and restore your health, but also provides a chance to heal any injuries you may have sustained earlier.
  • In case of low health or gourds, keep in mind that you have the option of temporarily transforming into Guangzhi as a last resort.

Elder Jinchi uses simple but hazardous close combat tactics such as Ground Stomp and Clap Attack. To disrupt his attacks, utilize Immobilize or Cloud Step.

A powerful, targeted assault can also incapacitate or topple him, creating an opportunity for you. Proper timing is essential; take advantage of Elder Jinchi’s moments of vulnerability after executing powerful moves to strike with precision.
