“Definitely didn’t read”: Naruto fans defend their final fight from a bold claim

Despite several years passing since the Naruto Shippuden anime adapted the final Naruto vs Sasuke fight, it is still a topic of discussion among anime fans. Recently, one fan made a claim that the final battle in the anime was pointless, causing tension amongst Naruto fans. In response to this claim, fans took to social media to defend their beloved anime.

After defeating Kaguya Otsutsuki, Sasuke Uchiha expressed his desire to become the Hokage and lead a new revolution in the Hidden Leaf Village. As part of his mission, he wanted to break his bond with Naruto. However, the main character of the series is determined to stop Sasuke and fulfill his promise to Sakura from years ago – to bring Sasuke back home.

Why Did the Naruto vs Sasuke Fight Receive Mixed Reactions From Fans?

The final battle between Naruto and Sasuke, as stated by an anime fan on X @27NUMB0, has been deemed the most pointless in anime history due to the fact that both characters permanently lost an arm during the fight.

The primary purpose of the battle was to persuade Sasuke to return to his hometown, the Hidden Leaf Village. However, just moments before, Sasuke joined forces with his former team of seven to combat Kaguya Otsutsuki. Naruto could have utilized his renowned “Talk no Jutsu”to persuade Sasuke to come back home.

If the events of the plot had unfolded differently, there would have been no justification for a final battle. However, the two characters persisted in fighting until they were both drained of chakra and lying side by side, resembling a wounded couple who had each lost an arm. @27NUMB0 found the scene even more cringe-worthy when the two characters started insulting each other.

Therefore, since neither of them emerged as the winner in the fight, @27NUMB0 concluded that the fight was simply for the sake of pleasing fans. It was a final showdown between the two characters that fans had been eagerly anticipating.

Fan response to the allegation

One fan responded to the claim by sharing panels from the manga that showcased the significance of the fight for the characters. Sasuke’s desire to attain ultimate solitary power by embracing all the hatred was in contrast to Naruto’s wish for a future where they could work together with other nations towards a peaceful future.

Despite their contrasting ideologies, Sasuke desired to end his connection with Naruto and eliminate him, while the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki aimed to prevent Sasuke from taking this destructive path and instead, guide him back to the village.

Due to the importance of the fight in the series, anime fans speculated that @27NUMB0 had not read or watched the manga.

“U certainly didn’t watch Naruto if u say something like this tbh,”another fan added.

“Imma need you to watch/read the fight again and not just say random stuff man,”one fan said.

The majority of anime shows shared a similar viewpoint. It was generally accepted that @27NUMB0 had the right to dislike the fight, but labeling it as “useless”was deemed unacceptable by the fanbase.

Another individual who shares a passion for anime also attempted to refute the statement put forth by @27NUMB0.

“By that logic trying to saving ace in marineford was useless he died anyways,”one fan said.

Based on their perspective, the final battle in the anime was deemed pointless since it did not result in any tangible advantages, similarly to the rescue mission to rescue Ace from Marineford in One Piece.

Despite being a significant figure to many individuals, Ace’s rescue mission ultimately proved fruitless as numerous pirates and Whitebeard perished while attempting to liberate him from the clutches of the Marines. However, Ace’s involvement in a confrontation with Akainu, provoked by the latter, did not render the mission ineffective but rather unsuccessful.

According to reports, the release of the Boruto anime has been delayed by several years, causing disappointment among fans.

“Despite the Blu-ray recuts of Jujutsu Kaisen, fans of Boruto still refuse to acknowledge MAPPA’s animation as the best in the studio.”

The fan animation has caused fans to drool, with many proclaiming it as one of the best they have ever seen.
