The character Dehya first appeared as a playable character in the 3.5 update of Genshin Impact. She is known as a desert mercenary and is highly respected among hermits in the Sumeru region. Players first meet her in Chapter 3, Act 1 of the Archon quest, where she serves as Dunyarzad’s bodyguard. Throughout the rest of the acts, players get to know her personality more deeply by completing tasks with her. With the Genshin Impact version 3.5 update, players have even more opportunities to learn about Dehya by completing her story quest and strengthening her friendship with her.
Dehya has a visual design and skill set comparable to Xinyan, the 4-star Pyro character from Claymore. However, her skill set is more damage-focused than Xinyan’s. As a base DPS or burst-focused Sub-DPS character, Dehya has the versatility to fill multiple roles. However, it can be a little more difficult to assemble due to separate scaling.
Are Dehya Constellations Worth Getting Genshin Impact?
After the release of Dehia, her options in the team composition are limited, as she does not have strong synergies with the main fighters or support characters. This is not uncommon in the history of character debuts in Genshin Impact, as some options – such as Kokomi and Neelow – only showed their potential later.
Players who want to keep the Primogems may want to delay unlocking the Dehya constellation until there are characters in the future that can complete it. For such players, unlocking the first two constellations (C1 and C2) will be the most profitable and cost effective.
C1 – Incandescent flame
- Effect: Max. Dehya’s HP is increased by 20% and she deals additional Damage based on her Max. HP when using the following attacks: • Molten Inferno’s damage will be increased by 3.6% of her Max. HP. · Leonine’s Bite damage will be increased by 6% of her maximum health.
- Importance: priority
Dehia’s Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill both gain bonus damage from the HP increase, making the extra health a valuable asset for increasing damage potential. Her first constellation also specifically increases the damage dealt by her burst and skill, adding even more damage.
Additionally, Dehia’s signature weapon, the reed sea beacon, increases her ATK when she takes damage and her HP when she doesn’t have a shield. Because of this, Genshin Impact players are not recommended to have a shield in the group, as this extra HP can make Dehyu more survivable.
C2 – Shiny sand blades
- Effect: When Dehya casts Molten Hell: Haunting Flames, the duration of the generated Fireshrine field will be increased by 6 seconds. In addition, when a Fire Shrine exists on the field, the damage dealt by its next coordinated attack will be increased by 50% when attacking active characters within the Fire Shrine’s field.
- Importance: High
C2 is the second constellation of Dehya that offers a combination of life buff and damage buffs. It is valuable for players using it as a primary or secondary fighter, or both. The first part of the constellation only lasts for the duration of the Fire Sanctuary field when it is recast as Wandering Flame, not for the total duration.
If players use Dehia’s Elemental skill again after activating the field, they will be able to maintain the effect for longer. Additionally, the Pyro’s damage boost from coordinated attacks makes her a more viable choice as an off-field DPS support.
C4 – Oath Keeping
- Effect: When Firemane and Incinerating Drive attacks launched during Leonina’s Bite hit enemies, they restore 1.5% of Dehya’s energy and 2.5% of her maximum health. This effect has a chance to trigger every 0.2 seconds.
- Importance: low
Dehya’s fourth constellation makes her energy management a bit easier and gives her an extra HP regeneration benefit, making this skill useful for players who want to use Burst as often as possible. It’s important to note that Dehya’s Explosion requires 70 energy and her particle generation isn’t very high, so she’ll still need a character with a battery to support her. While this constellation’s passive power generation doesn’t generate enough power on its own to be considered a major benefit, it can help extend the duration of Burst’s cast.
Dehya’s HP recovery is welcome, but only slightly, as her passive ability, Rapture, also provides a similar effect. Genshin Impact players should have a good healer in the group anyway, as using a shield isn’t ideal for Dehya’s set or signature weapons.
C6 – Flaming Claw Cleave
- Effect: The critical strike chance of a leonin’s bite is increased by 10%. In addition, after Flaming Mane Fist’s attack hits an enemy and inflicts CRITs during one Flaming Lioness state, it increases Lioness’s Bite CRIT DMG by 15% for the duration of Flaming Lioness and extends that duration by 0.5. With. This effect can trigger every 0.2s. The duration can be increased by a maximum of 2 seconds and CRITICAL Damage can be increased by a maximum of 60% this way.
- Importance: Medium
Dehya’s C6 constellation boosts her effectiveness as an explosive damage attacker, increasing her critical hit chance and critical damage. It also increases the duration of her burst skills, meaning she can deal more damage in a shorter amount of time. However, it also has disadvantages:
Maintaining a constant use of the Dehia blast can be tricky for some formulations given the low particle count. Her burst also has a cooldown of 18 seconds and gives players no control over her attacks, which can hurt teams that rely on quick replacements.
While increasing the length of the deha may seem attractive, it is important to have a well-built deha and a reliable support team in order to increase DPS and prevent failures in the rotation of the entire team.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4 and PS5. Switch version is under development.
