After 430 chapters and a decade of anticipation, My Hero Academia has come to a powerful ending. The journey of Izuku Midoriya, from a Quirkless individual to obtaining one of the most formidable Quirks and then returning to a Quirkless state, has been an incredible and unforgettable tale. This series will undoubtedly be remembered as a masterpiece in the world of entertainment.
Despite this, fans are displeased with the new outfit Izuku Midoriya wears in the final panel of My Hero Academia. As a devoted follower of All Might, he originally designed his Hero costume to mirror the former No. 1 Hero. However, as the series progressed, his outfit underwent modifications to reflect his personal growth and development as both a person and a Hero.
Ultimately, the character was equipped with a more advanced suit, presumably with high-tech capabilities to match his companions and combat evil. However, it appears that fans may have misinterpreted the intention behind this decision by the series.
My Hero Academia: Fans Upset by Deku’s New Suit, But It Sends a Powerful Message
The final showdown between Deku and League of Villains leader Tomura Shigaraki marked the moment when Deku lost his Quirk, One For All (OFA). In an epic clash, the two rivals fought with everything they had, but Shigaraki ultimately emerged as the stronger combatant. Despite his defeat, Deku refused to give up on Shigaraki and made the brave decision to sacrifice his OFA abilities one by one in order to face him in the vestige world.
In summary, Deku successfully reached Tenko Shimura, but was ultimately overpowered by All For One (AFO). With the help of his friends and fellow Heroes, Deku was able to utilize the remaining power of OFA to ultimately defeat AFO. Despite ending up Quirkless once again, Deku’s heroic spirit remained strong, and All Might presented him with a special suit from Class 1-A to enable him to continue his journey as a Hero.
Despite some fans being upset with Kohei Horikoshi’s chosen ending, which has divided opinions, others found it pointless that Class 1-A decided to fund it instead of having Melissa/David Shield and Mei Hatsume create it for free. However, this decision ultimately conveys a crucial message in My Hero Academia.
Although it would have been simpler if Mei and Melissa/David Shield had collaborated on the project, Momo Yaoyorozu’s Quirk would have been extremely helpful in its creation and assembly. However, having their assistance would have taken away from the true meaning of the suit – the entire Class 1-A, including Deku’s rival Katsuki Bakugo, dedicated their time, energy, and resources to helping their friend achieve his dream of becoming a Hero.
Despite his strong desire to become a Hero, Deku’s determination did not waver. After receiving OFA, he dedicated himself to intense training to enhance his physical abilities and learn how to properly use the Quirk. Even though he ultimately had to make a major sacrifice, his journey as a Hero was far from over. The chapter concludes with the following poignant lines:
“This is the tale of how we’ll keep reaching out to help for all time.”
This message perfectly aligns with Horikoshi’s intention. Despite facing numerous challenges, they remained a united group. They made a promise to never leave anyone behind, regardless of the circumstances. The actions of Class 1-A serve as proof of the strong bond, personal development, and heroic values they have developed throughout their journey.
Despite the events that occurred, their shared aspiration to become heroes remained unshaken, guaranteeing each and every one of them would achieve their goal. With the assistance of the suit, Class 1-A played a crucial role in helping Deku reclaim his dream.
