As Laios brandishes his sword, determined to end Falin’s life, Falin suddenly awakens and cries out to him. This causes Laios to hesitate and lower his weapon. Before Laios can intervene, Kabru swoops in and assaults Falin, resulting in a tense confrontation.
Despite a difficult battle, Laios successfully prevents Falin from dealing a fatal blow. He presents the idea that Falin’s soul may still be intact and advises retreating to avoid the dangerous magician. Falin manages to flee, leaving behind injured soldiers. Kabru is revived by Holm, while Maizuru offers to resurrect any fallen warriors. Shuro confronts Marcille about her involvement in the use of black magic, accusing her of transforming Falin into a Chimera.
Marcille stands up for herself and proposes that Falin’s change could be a result of other influences. In response, Shuro insists on bringing Marcille to the Western elves and demands that she reveal the truth.
Despite their argument, Laios and Shuro engage in a physical fight, with Laios ultimately emerging as the victor. While Laios remains determined to complete their mission, Shuro intends to return to the surface.
