In Delicious in Dungeon episode 22, Laios and his party wake up in the Golden Country and enjoy a breakfast together. As they prepare to leave the peaceful land, they gain further insight into the Mad Sorcerer, Thistle. Through learning about his past, the party discovers the events that led to his descent into madness, though the exact cause of this change remains a mystery.

As they prepared to depart, the group was given crucial advice: before facing Thistle, they must find the Winged Lion, the creature that foretold of a warrior wielding a winged sword and saving the Golden Country. With this new goal in mind, the group sets out on their journey. Just moments after their departure, Thistle arrives, questioning the villagers about who they were talking to.

Upon reaching the dwarven reservoir, the party is met with a vast cavern that poses a navigational obstacle and seems to have a negative impact on Senshi. Initially, it is presumed that Senshi is experiencing teleportation sickness. However, Chilchuck begins to wonder if there is something in the reservoir that is triggering Senshi’s mysterious past.

In a state of panic, Senshi takes off in a frenzy, triggering the griffin’s instincts and resulting in Senshi being abducted by the creature.
