Delta Force Open Beta: Release Date, Supported Platforms, Game Modes, and More Details

Exciting news for gamers! Delta Force, formerly known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, will officially launch its Open Beta in December. This highly anticipated multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) is entirely free-to-play and fuses elements reminiscent of Battlefield and Escape from Tarkov, while also incorporating a single-player campaign experience.

As one of the longest-standing FPS franchises, Delta Force made its debut back in 1998. After a long hiatus, since the release of Delta Force: Xtreme 2 in 2009, it returns with a modern twist as a multiplayer shooter with no cost to players.

In addition to revamping the iconic 2003 campaign of Black Hawk Down, Delta Force promises expansive combat scenarios akin to Battlefield, alongside an extraction gameplay mode inspired by Tarkov. Following a series of closed alpha tests and technical trials, the game is now ready for everyone to experience in its Open Beta stage.

Open Beta Launch Date

Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 5, when the Delta Force Open Beta officially kicks off. Although the exact start time is yet to be announced, updates will be provided as soon as this information becomes available.

What to Expect After the Beta

The beta phase will not conclude abruptly; instead, consider it an early access version of the game. Players can expect all progress made during this period to carry over to the console and mobile versions, which are set to launch in early 2025.

Continuous updates are on the horizon, with developers promising significant quarterly updates alongside regular quality-of-life enhancements and balance adjustments. Plans are also underway to integrate all Operations maps into a larger open world, but that work is slated to begin in 2025.

Getting Started with the Open Beta

Participating in the Open Beta is straightforward. Simply visit the Delta Force store page on Steam or the Epic Games Store. The game will be available for download at no cost, and you can also add it to your wishlist to receive notifications when it goes live.

Available Platforms for the Open Beta

It’s important to note that the Delta Force Open Beta is exclusively available on PC. While console and mobile versions are anticipated in Q1 2025, the current beta is limited to PC players only.

Game Modes Available

The Open Beta features multiple game modes including Havoc Warfare and Hazard Operations. Additionally, a remastered single-player campaign based on Black Hawk Down is expected to be released after the beta period.

Havoc Warfare allows for large-scale battles with two teams of 32 players, while Hazard Operations offers unique tactical challenges. Further game modes are anticipated to be added as the beta progresses.

Is Controller Support Available?

Currently, Delta Force lacks controller support during the beta phase, though this feature is under development and will be introduced soon. Players will need to utilize a mouse and keyboard for the time being, but rest assured that controller support is coming ahead of the console release.

As we await the beta’s arrival, enthusiasts can explore the various Operators and review the PC requirements to prepare for the game.
