On the official website of the Demon Lord 2099 anime, the third key visual was released on July 2, 2024. The series also announced the release window of October 2024 and confirmed the artists for the theme songs.
The light novel began its serialization in January 2021 and has also been adapted into two manga versions.
The first installment, illustrated by Kiiro Akashiro, was published from November 2021 to June 2022. The second installment, illustrated by Yutaka Sakurai, began in March 2023.
Upcoming anime Demon Lord 2099 set to premiere in October
The key visual for the Demon Lord 2099 anime featured the main characters of the series, with Demon Lord Veltol positioned in the center. Takahashi was placed in the upper right corner, while Machina appeared in the lower left corner. The remaining characters in the key visual were the supporting cast of the show.
Shiyui will be singing the opening theme song for the anime series titled Hollow. The artists have previously contributed to theme songs for anime series such as Undead Unluck and Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead. This will be Sekai’s debut as a theme song artist in this medium, with his song “Spira”being chosen as the ending theme for this anime.
The Ishura, which received an anime adaptation during the Winter Anime Season of 2024, was illustrated by the same artist and has been renewed for a sequel.
The cast of voice actors for the Demon Lord 2099 anime features Satoshi Hino (known for his role as Oliver Aiku in Blue Lock) as Demon Lord Veltol, Miku Ito (best known for playing Miku in The Quintessential Quintuplets) as Machina, and Hana Hishikawa (recognized for her portrayal of Madoka in A Sign of Affection) as Takahashi.
The rest of the voice cast includes Daisuke Namikaze as Gram (known for his role as Jack the Ripper in Black Clover), Masaya Matsukaze as Marcus (famous for playing the Game Master in Darwin’s Game), and Shizuka Itou as Kinohara (recognized for her portrayal of Irina in Assassination Classroom).
