Indeed, five centuries later, his loyal subordinate, Machina Soleige, successfully revives him. Upon awakening, Veltol desires to reclaim his power, only to confront the stark truth that it is now the year 2099 and the world has drastically altered.

Machina reveals to Veltol that Alneath experienced an event called Fantasion, which merged it with another world, Earth. The early years were fraught with turmoil, including frequent civil wars.

Eventually, the turmoil subsided, leading to the fusion of Alneath’s magic with Earth’s technology, giving rise to a concept known as Magineering. Veltol is captivated by the cyberpunk aesthetics of Shinjuku in 2099. He inquires about the Six Dark Peers.

Though Machina is unaware of the whereabouts of four of them, she recounts how Zenol, one of the Dark Peers, sacrificed himself for her escape. When he questions her about Marcus of the Bloody Arts, she avoids the topic.
