Demon Slayer fans are expressing their disappointment with the latest announcement for the fan-favorite Infinity Castle Arc, as the franchise is set to release a trilogy of movies.
Currently airing its fourth season, the Demon Slayer anime has become one of the most beloved dark Shonen manga series worldwide. The current season follows the Hashira Training Arc, leading up to the anticipated battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan and the Upper Moons once the training is completed.
The Infinity Castle Arc, a highly acclaimed arc in Demon Slayer, will be adapted into three movies instead of a series for its release.
Following its massive success, the Training Arc has become one of the top-grossing anime movies of all time. As a result, it seems that Ufotable is considering pursuing a similar path once again.

Despite rumors circulating last year about a potential trilogy, the lack of official confirmation from the studio, most likely due to it being leaked, has left news accounts hesitant to confirm its existence.
Still, according to a well-known source, it is highly likely that the trilogy is currently in the works. The source revealed that the final ‘Infinity Castle Arc’ of the Kimetsu no Yaiba TV Anime will be adapted into a movie trilogy.
“It appears that this information has been leaked from the visitor giveaways on Jump Victory Carnival’s website, which have since been deleted. We will continue to provide updates on this information.”
In a comment, they elaborate, stating that based on Japanese listings, the term “Infinity Castle Arc”encompasses everything until the conclusion of the series. They also mention that they will refrain from making any assumptions until official confirmations and reports are released.
According to one fan, the decreasing hype of certain anime series can be attributed to the popularity of manga movies. The trend apparently began with Mugen Train and has continued with JJK0 and Haikyuu, where the adaptations reportedly deviate from the manga. This has left the fan confused and questioning the reasoning behind this trend.
