Demon Slayer season 4 episode 6: Anime vs. Manga comparison

With the release of Demon Slayer season 4 episode 6, the anime continued to follow the Hashira Training Arc. This installment featured the main character Tanjiro Kamado undergoing Gyomei Himejima’s Muscle Amplification Training. In episode 6 of season 4 of Demon Slayer, a group of Demon Slayers decided to quit Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima’s Muscle Amplification Training when they found it to be too challenging. This scene was also present in the manga, but the anime included additional dialogue to lengthen the episode’s duration.

As the Demon Slayers left their training and made their way down the hill, they made it clear to Tanjiro that they were prepared to play a supporting role in the fight against Muzan Kibutsuji and the demons. This conversation effectively conveyed their determination to defeat Muzan, despite their perceived weakness, and their willingness to give their all even if it meant fighting from the sidelines.

In contrast to the Demon Slayer manga where Tanjiro Kamado struggled to prepare lunch for other Demon Slayers, Demon Slayer season 4 episode 6 showed the protagonist’s significant improvement in this role. The episode depicted Tanjiro expertly making rice balls with extra salt to replenish the Demon Slayers’ lost electrolytes from training. Additionally, he impressed with his roasted rice ball-making abilities.

Furthermore, in the anime, Tanjiro is seen preparing dinner for his companions, which was not depicted in the manga. As they enjoyed the rice balls he made, Tanjiro fondly remembered his family, just like in the manga.

Despite receiving advice from Genya Shinazugawa, Tanjiro Kamado was only able to successfully push the rock in the manga. However, in the anime, he was able to complete the task the following morning at dawn.

The anime incorporated additional scenes of Tanjiro preparing dinner for the other Demon Slayers. Although the dialogue in the scene was taken from the manga, the setting was modified.
