Demon Slayer season 4: Tanjiro vs Muichiro – A Foreshadowed Battle

The primary focus of Demon Slayer season 4 episode 4 was Tanjiro’s training with Muichiro, delving into his character and hinting at Muzan’s impending arrival. The episode briefly showcased Tanjiro’s training with Muichiro.

While executing a specific move, Muichiro’s sword created a “trial line”across Tanjiro’s stomach, visually dividing his body into two parts. Despite this being a mere representation of Muichiro’s sword techniques, certain fans perceived it as a hint towards his eventual demise in the manga, which occurred in a similar fashion.

During the Infinity Castle arc of the Demon Slayer series, Muichiro Tokito played a crucial role in the battle against Kokushibo. Although Sanemi Shinazugawa, Gyomei Himejima, and Genya Shinazugawa also participated in the fight, only Sanemi and Gyomei managed to survive.

Muichiro was the first to confront the Upper Moon 1 demon, and it was during their battle that Kokushibo revealed their connection. As they fought, it became evident that there was a great discrepancy in their abilities and techniques. Despite his utmost determination, the Mist Hashira soon realized that he was no match for Kokushibo.

Despite being overpowered by Kokushibo, Muichiro was able to successfully strike him with his blade. However, Kokushibo quickly retaliated with a barrage of slashes that ultimately severed Muichiro in two from his waist down.

Despite being cut in half, the Mist Hashira was able to turn his Nichirin blade red, marking the end of his life. Muichiro’s determination and actions were integral in aiding Sanemi and Gyomei in defeating Kokushibo.

Concluding Remarks

Despite displaying immense talent and being the youngest Demon Slayer in history, Muichiro’s death was considered one of the most tragic in the manga. This was particularly heartbreaking after it was revealed that he was related to Yoriichi and Kokushibo. Unfortunately, his untimely passing prevented him from reaching his full potential.

Despite the Mist Hashira’s courageous efforts and his inherited legacy, his death remains a poignant reminder of the harsh realities that even the most skilled warriors face in their fight against demons.
