The focus turns to Tokito’s crow, who continues to mock the trainees. Tanjiro notices the bird’s consistently haughty demeanor and remarks on it. Tokito then leads Tanjiro to a room where he introduces him to Mr. Kanamori, a highly skilled swordsmith. Tokito presents Tanjiro with a blade and instructs him to hold it steady while facing him. The following scene unveils the true identity of the demon – Nakime, also known as the biwa woman. The scene then depicts the Wind Hashira, Sanemi, engaging in a duel with the Snake Hashira, Iguro. Both warriors acknowledge that their attack power is evenly matched. Suddenly, Tokito appears and expresses his desire to participate. Sanemi discloses that Tokito frequents the location every night, while Tokito clarifies that mentoring the trainees does not provide enough opportunities for his personal development.

Sanemi argues that the duel serves as authentic Hashira training. Tokito points out the injustice of excluding their peers. Prior to their departure, Tanjiro suggests a paper airplane tossing competition, having been informed by Mr. Kanamori that Tokito has a fondness for them. Tanjiro proposes that if he emerges victorious, Tokito should consider being more gentle with the trainees. Despite failing to win the contest, Tanjiro’s suggestion succeeds in deepening the relationship between Tokito and the trainees, who are inspired to challenge Tokito to a similar competition.

The event comes to an end as they savor the moment together, sending their paper airplanes soaring through the air.
