The focus turns to Tokito’s crow, who continues to mock the trainees. Tanjiro notices the bird’s consistently haughty demeanor and remarks on it. Tokito then leads Tanjiro to a room where he introduces him to Mr. Kanamori, a highly skilled swordsmith. Tokito presents Tanjiro with a blade and instructs him to hold it steady while facing him. With precision, Tokito sends a paper airplane towards the blade, which glides through it effortlessly.
Tanjiro is astonished by the incredible sharpness of the sword. Tokito reveals that he has enlisted the help of Mr. Kanamori to regularly maintain his swords, ensuring they are always ready for battle. He also mentions that Master Ubuyashiki granted his request and assisted in making it possible, expressing his gratitude towards the Master.

The scene then depicts the Wind Hashira, Sanemi, engaging in a duel with the Snake Hashira, Iguro. Both warriors acknowledge that their attack power is evenly matched. Suddenly, Tokito appears and expresses his desire to participate. Sanemi discloses that Tokito frequents the location every night, while Tokito clarifies that mentoring the trainees does not provide enough opportunities for his personal development.
Sanemi argues that the duel serves as authentic Hashira training. Tokito points out the injustice of excluding their peers. Iguro, displaying deference, proposes a 2-on-1 match between himself, Sanemi, and Tokito. As the fight commences, they express contentment with their nocturnal practice and discuss their daytime routine.
Tokito informs Iguro that Tanjiro has joined his training and assures him that Tanjiro’s injuries will be completely healed before he begins training with Iguro. Iguro agrees to be strict with Tanjiro, while Sanemi remarks that Tanjiro is no match for a Hashira.
Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc: Episode 4 – Tanjiro finishes Tokito’s training and holds a paper airplane flying contest before departing
The fourth episode of the Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc continues with the next day at Tokito’s training grounds. In the middle of their training, Tanjiro successfully catches Tokito off guard with an unexpected attack. Recognizing Tanjiro’s progress, Tokito declares that he is now ready to advance to the next level as a Hashira.
Prior to their departure, Tanjiro suggests a paper airplane tossing competition, having been informed by Mr. Kanamori that Tokito has a fondness for them. Tanjiro proposes that if he emerges victorious, Tokito should consider being more gentle with the trainees. Despite failing to win the contest, Tanjiro’s suggestion succeeds in deepening the relationship between Tokito and the trainees, who are inspired to challenge Tokito to a similar competition.
The event comes to an end as they savor the moment together, sending their paper airplanes soaring through the air.
Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode 4 – Nezuko’s Whereabouts and Tanjiro’s Training with Mitsuri’s Hashira
In the final moments of episode 4 of the Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc, Tokito and Tanjiro engage in a heartfelt discussion regarding Nezuko and the decrease in demon attacks. Tanjiro clarifies his choice to place Nezuko in a secure location, emphasizing the risks of bringing her along on his missions. He vows to enhance his strength in order to safeguard her.
