A TikTok video posted by a dental office worker has gained widespread attention as they caution viewers against the popular trend of becoming a “veneer technician”. The worker emphasized that this practice is not only “illegal”, but also “dangerous”.
A dental office worker’s TikTok video, warning users of the app to be cautious of individuals falsely claiming to be “veneer technicians”, has gone viral. The video has gained over 6.3 million views and received over 523,000 likes on the social media platform.
Dani (dani_bananni) starts off by responding to a video from another user who claimed they could earn $5,000 a day as a Veneer Tech. They promptly inform the user that this is a completely illegal practice and urge them to discuss it before becoming a victim.
According to Dani, only licensed medical professionals are authorized to carry out this type of procedure. These individuals must have completed at least eight years of medical school. “Legally, only a dentist can perform veneers,”she added.

The user clarified that, unlike nails or eyebrows which can grow back, incorrectly filing down a tooth can result in harm to both the tooth and its nerves.
The TikToker emphasized that filing incorrectly can expose nerves and other sensitive parts, as these are your teeth.
Dani urged individuals to steer clear of this trap, emphasizing that it is “completely illegal and poses a significant threat to the health of your natural teeth”. Despite the high cost of dental care, she advises utilizing Crest White Strips or visiting a dentist for custom bleaching trays or Invisalign.
The comment section was flooded with users showing their support for Dani and calling for authorities to take action against individuals falsely claiming to be “Veneer Technicians”.
