Destiny 2 Deepsight Harmonizer Guide: How to Obtain and Convert Weapons

Deepsight Harmonizers remain a crucial component in Destiny 2’s Final Shape, frequently necessary for obtaining craftable weapons, particularly if you prefer to avoid lengthy farming.

Obtaining Deepsight or Red Border weapons is crucial for players who want to tackle Destiny’s toughest content. A significant number of the game’s top weapons can be crafted, and the sole means of acquiring them is by farming Red Borders.

Crafting Red Border weapons allows for precise customization of God Rolls, meta perks, and Masterwork bonuses, unlike relying on random rolls. This feature allows for the alteration of a weapon’s frame, determining which stat will receive the +10 Masterwork bonus, resulting in significant impact.

Obtaining Red Border weapons can be challenging, leaving you to depend on Deepsight Harmonizers to obtain the desired crafted God Rolls. Here’s how you can effectively utilize this valuable resource.

How to Obtain Deepsight Harmonizers

To obtain Deepsight Harmonizers, one must advance through the Season Pass. A total of eight can be obtained in the Episode: Echoes season pass at the designated ranks:

  • Rank 70 (Free)
  • Rank 75 (Premium)
  • Rank 85 (Premium)
  • Rank 90 (Free)
  • Rank 125* (Premium)
  • Rank 135* Premium)
  • Rank 175** (Premium)
  • Rank 185** (Premium)

This item is only accessible in Act II and Act III.

In an official TWID released on April 5, 2023, Bungie announced that the Season Pass would be the only way to obtain Deepsight Harmonizers during the initial rollout. Despite this confirmation, more than a year has passed and no additional source has been introduced, leaving the future of Deepsight Harmonizers uncertain.

How to use Deepsight Harmonizers

To use Deepsight Harmonizers in Destiny 2, simply choose them from the Mod slot available on all relevant weapons that can be crafted and do not have a Red Border.

If a weapon is qualified, a notification will pop up when hovering over it stating, “This weapon is eligible for Deepsight activation.”

As soon as the Deepsight Harmonizer is chosen, it will instantly transform the selected weapon into a Red Border. Then, you can extract the pattern progress as you normally would with any other Red Border weapon.

Please note that in order to activate craftable weapons that are only obtainable from Raids, an extra 15 Spoils of Conquest per Deepsight Harmonizer will be needed. This means that participating in raids is necessary to convert them.

Best Weapons to Use Deepsight Harmonizers On

The most effective use of Deepsight Harmonizers is on outdated weapons that cannot be obtained elsewhere except through Banshee and Xur. Additionally, World Drop and Raid weapons that can be crafted are also suitable options, as obtaining favorable rolls for them can be a challenging task.

The implementation of the Exotic Mission Rotator in Season of the Witch provided a new means of obtaining Red Borders for past seasonal weapons. However, aside from the guaranteed weekly rewards, the chances of obtaining Deepsight weapons are minimal, making the activity less beneficial for obtaining craftable guns.

Despite this, you will still need to depend on Deepsight Harmonizers. These weapons are highly recommended for use in Echoes Act 2 when utilizing the harmonizers.
