Destiny 2 Echoes Act 3: Release Date, New Weapons, and Artifact Perks

Destiny 2 Echoes Act 3 is set to release on all platforms in the near future, introducing players to fresh weapons, Artifact perks, and a variety of other additions.

The introduction of The Final Shape resulted in Bungie making changes to Destiny 2’s content release structure, replacing the traditional seasonal format with a new model that involved the release of three Episodes annually. The first Episode was released in June 2024, followed by the second in July.

Echoes Act 3 is on the horizon, with its highly anticipated debut set to bring a handful of fresh weapons and Artifact perks to the game.

Players can anticipate the following from Act 3.

Echoes Act 3’s new Artifact perks

With the addition of a few new Artifact perks, Destiny 2 Echoes Act 3 will bring changes to established builds. The Shock and Awe perk, for instance, is expected to enhance the destructive capabilities of Arc builds.

  • Auto Rifle Overload: Continuous fire from your currently equipped Auto Rifles causes bullets to stun enemies, hindering their ability energy recharging and decreasing their combat effectiveness. Particularly effective against Overload Champions. Furthermore, Auto Rifles are constantly charged while this modifier is in effect.
  • The discounted energy cost of the Charged Up mod is only applicable for the Authorized Mod.
  • Continuously damaging enemies with an Auto Rifle grants you damage resistance through Sustained Fire.
  • The Autoloader Targeting perk activates when an Auto Rifle is equipped. It allows for automatic reloading of the equipped weapon and temporarily boosts weapon damage upon defeating enemies. Extra progress is granted when delivering fatal blows while being surrounded.
  • Shock and Awe: When using an Arc or Prismatic subclass, any Arc final blows while you are charged will unleash a powerful burst of lightning that damages and stuns nearby enemies.

Despite Bungie keeping several significant details under wraps and players not having seen any footage of the new act in action, we will continue to update this post as more information becomes available.
