Destiny 2 Episode Revenant Enhances Vault Management for Players

The latest chapter of Destiny 2, titled Episode Revenant, rolled out on October 8, bringing with it a wealth of new features alongside extensive modifications to the game’s sandbox and significant enhancements to user experience, particularly an undocumented update to Vault management.

After the update, Guardians have the opportunity to access their Vault in the midst of activities and can employ a new ‘Vault Mode’ feature directly from the Character screen. Once enabled, this option replaces the Equip button with Store, allowing players to transfer any acquired drops instantly to their Vault without needing to navigate back to Orbit.

Given the amount of loot sourced from seasonal tasks introduced in both Echoes and Revenant, this capability to quickly offload weapons and armor is a major quality-of-life enhancement that was surprisingly omitted from the 8.1.0 patch notes.

In discussions on Reddit, players expressed their excitement regarding this update, with many initially unaware of the UI upgrade’s existence.

Vault Mode can be accessed from the Character screen.

“The ability to reach our Vault in any setting is significant. Having a Vault Mode prevents the accidental storage of items, which is fantastic,” remarked one player.

Another shared, “This truly enhances my gaming experience,” while several others noted that they were astounded to learn about the new feature.

Interestingly, it seems there are no restrictions on utilizing Vault Mode; players can deposit and retrieve items even in scenarios where equipment is locked, although the prohibition on changing gear remains in place as anticipated.

The Revenant chapter is proving to be a compelling continuation of the Echoes storyline. Additionally, the narrative segments of each Act are no longer restricted by weekly resets. The season, which focuses on the Fallen and Scorn, integrates unique new mechanics such as Tonics and a renewed version of the popular Onslaught activity from Into the Light.

Moreover, the upcoming Dungeon, Vesper’s Host, is slated for launch on Friday, October 11, featuring a Contest Mode available for the first 48 hours following its release.
