Encore: Overture, the latest exotic mission in Destiny 2, was recently launched but has been plagued by numerous game-breaking bugs. These issues have led to soft locking and incorrect distribution of loot within the game.
Destiny 2 has recently launched its latest exotic mission as part of the Echoes episode. These missions are typically considered the most difficult content for Guardians to conquer, and completing them successfully rewards players with a new exotic item.
Several notable exotic weapons have been obtained through these missions, such as Whisper of the Worm, Outbreak Perfected, and Still Hunt. These weapons were highly influential and set the standard for their respective releases.
Despite being the latest addition to this list, the mission caused a great commotion within the community due to numerous bugs that made it extremely difficult to complete.
Guardians are quickly turning to social media to address the issue of one of the bosses failing to spawn a second crystal. This results in a continuous influx of additional enemies with no way to advance in the boss fight. The only solution in this situation is to intentionally fall off the map, resulting in a restart of the encounter.
The problem of the 2nd Crystal not spawning seems to be affecting others as well. I may have unintentionally caused this issue by altering the pillar and activating all the fields, but it’s possible that Bungo implemented a new “feature,”as noted by another player’s inquiry.
This situation is made even more dreadful due to the lack of assurance that the boss will not repeat the same action in the next attempt. As a result, you may find yourself stuck in the encounter indefinitely, continually wiping in the hopes that the boss will eventually become targetable, similar to what one player shared on the forums.
“During all of my attempts at this encounter, I have encountered this bug consistently. It has occurred twice during the first damage phase and once during the second. Each time, I have had to restart and try again.”
The Encore Overture mission in Destiny 2 has been plagued with bugs according to players, making it nigh impossible to complete.
According to some users, if you died while holding the Vex Module during the new exotic mission, it would disappear permanently and your Guardian would respawn in a different area, prompting you to find a new one. This would result in being stuck in a zone with no way to move forward, as the correct Vex Module is necessary to progress and the current one would be useless.
Players have reported that the only solution to this issue is to reset your run completely, which could result in wasting an entire hour of your time.
Despite the challenges, players can still acquire the new Choir of One exotic weapon as a Guardian. However, it is strongly recommended to proceed with caution and at a slow pace.
