Destiny 2 glitch doubles Exotic class item drops in Dual Destiny

The Dual Destiny co-op mission in the Destiny 2 community has been found to contain a potent glitch, enabling Guardians to obtain two Exotic class item rewards.

The addition of Dual Destiny to The Final Shape on June 11 sparked mixed reactions among players. While many praised the mission’s overall quality, others were disappointed by the decision to lock the Exotic Class Items behind an activity that can only be completed with a group.

Although this method still requires a partner, a new powerful glitch has been found that doubles the Exotic class item rewards from the mission, cutting the grind in half to obtain a desired roll.

To complete the glitch, you will need to follow these steps, which were shared by YouTuber Cheese Forever in his video https://youtu.be/aBULbfBPyls?si=JSLNfkV7T3zIZUKi.

  • Ensure that both players are utilizing the same class and have a Sword with the Eager Edge perk available to them.
  • To obtain the first Exotic class item, both players must simultaneously loot the same reward chest at the end of the activity.
  • As soon as you finish looting, turn around and sprint to the opposite side of the room. Keep going until you come across a gap that you can cross with Eagar Edge. This will lead you to a far ledge next to the outer wall of the room.
  • If the ‘Joining Allies’ message appears, both Fireteam members will be teleported back to the reward area, indicating that the process was done correctly.
  • Lastly, make sure to loot the second chest that was not previously looted in order to obtain an additional Exotic class item.

Due to this glitch, completing Dual Destiny has become the most efficient method for farming Exotic class items. A skilled Fireteam can complete the co-op mission in approximately 20 minutes, resulting in a rate of 6 Exotic class items per hour.

Alternatively, players who do not wish to participate in the farming activity can still obtain Exotic class items from Overthrow Chests. This approach still necessitates completing a full run of Dual Destiny beforehand, but provides a less intense option for obtaining rolls once the mission is finished.
