There’s an exciting new system coming to Destiny 2 called The Portal. This feature will replace the current Director and serve as the ultimate hub for Guardians, streamlining access to all game activities.

Destiny 2: Portal System Explained

The Portal will categorize activities into several types:

• Solo Ops: These are 1-3 player activities that require minimal social or time commitments, ideal for those looking for quick sessions. A new activity will also be introduced soon in this category.
• Fireteam Ops: These three-player activities can be either matchmade or played with pre-made groups. Players can enjoy Strikes, Onslaught, and The Coil in this section.
• Flashpoint Ops: Aimed at six-player groups, Flashpoint Ops are designed for chaotic, combat-based gameplay, including activities like Offensives.
• Pinnacle Ops: These challenging three-player activities include Dungeons, Exotic missions, and full-length Onslaughts, featuring an exclusive reward pool earned through completion.
• Crucible: This section encompasses the game’s PvP activities, offering playlists for solo and fireteam players, along with exclusive rewards.

The Portal will also grant access to activities from the current expansion and seasonal events, such as Iron Banner and Festival of the Lost.

Bonus Rewards

Within each category of The Portal, select highlighted activities will grant bonus rewards alongside standard offerings. Players can expect specific weapons, armor slots, and currencies as part of this incentive. These bonus rewards are guaranteed from the first completion each day, with high drop chances for subsequent clears.
