Though some players prefer to tackle Destiny 2 solo, certain activities require a group effort. Esoterickk, a popular YouTuber, has gained a large following by challenging this concept, and his latest endeavor is particularly remarkable.
At its core, Destiny 2 is intended to be a social game, meant to be played with others. While raids and dungeons require six and three players respectively, many individuals have successfully completed the latter on their own.
The addition of the Final Shape expansion has introduced the Dual Destiny mission, which offers class items as an Exotic quest reward. However, the mechanics of this mission necessitate the participation of at least two Guardians for successful completion, which has caused frustration for some players who prefer to play solo.
Surprisingly, Esoterickk has successfully completed the mission on his own. The only caveat is that he achieved this by simultaneously playing on two separate accounts.
In order to get ready for his “solo”task, the YouTuber dedicated a significant amount of time to finishing both the main and post-campaign missions, ultimately unlocking Dual Destiny on a second character.
He manages the mission by switching between the two characters, utilizing a mouse and keyboard for one and a controller for the other. This requires a significant amount of time to transition between Guardians, but the most noteworthy aspect of the run is his skill in maintaining control of both at the same time.
Those who have some knowledge of Esoterickk’s past will recognize that this is not a significant deviation from his usual style. He has previously completed entire raids alone and also conquered Oryx on Hard Mode in the original Destiny’s King’s Fall version.
It is uncertain where he will venture to next, however, as there are three more episodes set to be released this year, there will likely be a plethora of challenging obstacles to conquer.
