The developers at Bungie for Destiny 2 have recently announced that Guardians will now have the ability to obtain loot from private PvP matches. This decision has caused conflicting opinions among the community regarding the current state of the game mode.
In Destiny 2, the main focus is on obtaining new loot in order to defeat enemies. This could be in the form of an exotic weapon, a piece of armor, or a different attribute on a legendary item. Guardians are always on the lookout for new loot to enhance their abilities and strengthen their character builds.
All sources, including PvP, can provide loot in the form of gear from a specific loot table. This means that in order to obtain a desirable firearm that is tied to the mode, one must participate in PvP.
Despite the ongoing issues, Bungie has taken steps to address them by announcing that loot can now be obtained from private matches in PvP, making the farming process less taxing.
PvP can be tricky, no matter your skill level. We’ve added Crucible rewards to Private Matches to give you a slightly more casual environment to earn Legendary weapons, armor, and even post-game Catalyst rewards.Invite some friends, adjust some settings, and earn some rewards.

This has caused division within the community, as numerous Guardians believe that the developers are neglecting PvP entirely and providing an alternate way to obtain loot from it.
A player questioned, “Is this the final headshot for the PvP population?”
Despite initial concerns, Bungie promptly addressed the issue and reassured fans by stating that they have plans for balancing and will share more information soon.
Bungie has teased that there’ll be balance changes coming to PvP sometime soon.
Despite this, numerous Guardians continue to express dissatisfaction with the current state of PvP. They argue that the developers lack the ability to effectively “fix PvP.”
One player argued that the need to address this issue highlights the poor state of the current PvP experience. They urged for consideration of player feedback.
“Is this some kind of joke? It’s clear that we don’t have a solution for PvP,”another person chimed in, echoing the sentiments of many.
Despite the fact that the developers appear to have plans for PvP, this is a positive indication for those who typically avoid this mode. As a result, groups of friends can now easily participate, acquire their PvP gear, and use it in any other content they desire.
